Philosophy

At Because You Kan, we believe in just that! Because You Kan...You can do anything!!!

We provide to a caring safe, inclusive, diverse and fun environment, where children are encouraged to participate in planned, appropriate experiences that facilitate learning and development.

Our Program is guided by the “my time our place framework” Our approach is to facilitate each Childs development, socially, emotionally and intellectually.

We strongly believe in allowing children to feel free to express themselves and to feel safe to do so.

 

BYK has the best interests of children and that they are the primary consideration for planning and decision makings. BYK program reflects both at School as well as at home and in the wider community. We promote each child’s sense of Identity and well-being whist fostering their development in various skills and abilities at BYK we feel Family Interactions Creativity commitment and inclusion is a big part of who we are and what we believe and thrive to achieve.

 

 

In a single word, with many different meanings, people have many ways of defining a family and what being a part of a family means to them. Families differ in terms of economic, cultural, social, inclusiveness, diversity and many other facets, but what every family has in common is that the people who call it a family are making clear that those people are important in some way to the person calling them their family.

Interactions

Is creating environments in which children can thrive in, this means consciously creating warm, loving, sensory rich environments where their physical, emotional and spiritual needs are recognised and honoured. Quality interactions are crucial for children’s learning and development. Educators at BYK develop programs based on Children’s needs and interactions and Observations.

 

 

Creativity

Is expressed through thoughts, feelings, pretend and imaginative play, creativity is about exploration and self-expression. Educators at BYK support Children to reflect and nurture all children’s creative abilities. Bringing out their inner souls!

 

Commitment

Is to provide a healthy, safe and inclusive environment, to support all individual needs of Children and Families. To build meaningful relationships between Educators Children and Families. At BYK we provide Educators who are experienced passionate and motivated. Educators Value each children strengths, skills, creativity and individuality. 

 

 

Inclusion

We uphold our support within the practise and policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalise. Such as those who have intellectual disabilities and members of other minority groups.
